Lynx Lynx – Milwaukee Art Museum – Family Sundays: Discovering Scandinavia

Experience traditional art, music, and stories of the Nordic countries with your family and friends. Meet artists from our region and beyond as they demonstrate weaving, rosemaling, and other crafts. Enjoy music by Norwegian-Swedish folk duo Lynx Lynx, and take part in art-making activities—paint a Dala horse, play with pattern—inspired by the furniture, textiles, and other objects in the exhibition Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980.

Lynx Lynx – Midsommar Celebration – Minneapolis, MN

This year, ASI’s Midsommar Celebration will feature performances by Lynx Lynx, Hanneke Cassel, Mike Block, and a summertime dance party featuring Jake Rudh, longtime DJ, MPR radio host, and founder of Transmission.

Advance ticket registration is required to attend this event. Walk-up sales will be available after 1 pm. Midsommar is one of ASI’s most popular events; please anticipate limited on-site parking.

Lynx Lynx live in the Twin Cities!

An evening of Scandinavian folk music with the duo “Lynx Lynx”, between Vidar Skrede & Patrik Ahlberg. They will share fiddle tunes from Norway and Sweden, and tunes from their own imagination, across fiddles, hardanger fiddles, guitars, and a mandolin.

Free entrance! Suggested donation of $10.

Location: The Auditorium at Charles Thompson Memorial Hall, St Paul, MN.

Beverages (water, pop, beer, wine, and iced coffee) and hot food and snacks are available for purchase in the basement pub.
